Introducing Wind Down Wednesdays at The Yoga Movement. Come wind down and connect with your sleepy side in this prime bedtime class.
You will be surrounded by supportive props and soothing music while being gently guided through poses designed to make you drift off as soon as your head hits the pillow. No more tossing and turning, with tomorrow's to-do list traipsing through your head. Instead, gentle "oms" and "ahhs" will reverberate with a sleep inducing vibration while the stress of the day is slowly stretched away.
Gentle stretching and breathing exercises activate the parasympathetic (rest/digest/reproduce) nervous system while down-regulating the sympathetic (fight/flight/freeze) nervous system.
